Nowadays, the FTP service has become one of the most popular ways for transferring files over the Internet. It's fast, it's safe, it's simple to use and accessible. More and more people are using FTP to send files. But the efficiency of FTP depends mostly on the used software. There are a lot of FTP clients out there, but most of these programs lack the features desired even by the average user. Fortunately, there is an application that manages to be on top of one's expectations and that is FTP Rush.

The installation is a simple process and takes little time to complete. Every version of Microsoft Windows can be used for running this app and the system requirements are as low as you can get. The program is gentle with the hard disk space, as it takes up around 10 MB.

The interface is nice and simple, having all the basic controls accessible for the user, even if he's a beginner. The program concentrates on the functional part and the interface is no eye-candy. Still, the user can take advantage of the graphical buttons for completing most of the program's tasks, but he can also use the well known drop-down menu.

Connecting to a FTP server only requires entering the server address, the username and the password. The user can also use the Site Manager for storing all these details in case he doesn't want to enter them again and again. The interface resembles a file manager, as it is split into two sections. The right section displays the local files and folders and the right one shows all the contents of the FTP folder. The user can simply drag and drop files and folders from a section to the other or he can choose the context menu for manipulating data.

FTP Rush includes options for customizing its functionality and also certain aspects of the FTP connection. Moreover, there are settings for modifying the interface.

The entire configuration and settings of the program can be backed up as a file, in case the user decides to use them again in the future.

Pros

It has a very simple interface that resembles a file manager, thus beginners will not have trouble using it. It also includes a lot of options for configuring the FTP connection.

Cons

The options panel seems a bit too crowded and beginners may have trouble configuring the settings. FTP Rush is a great FTP client that has all the options necessary for an efficient FTP usage.
